Description
The Traouïéro valleys have always been a natural refuge for all kinds of people, in both real life and in fiction, and even today this is still a magical place. It includes the 'Maison des Korrigans' (Breton Leprechauns' House), the 'Auge du Lépreux' (Lepers' Trough), the 'Trou de l'Enfer' (Hell-Hole) and caves. The Breton word Traouïéro means 'the valleys'. The botanical value of these gorges lies mainly in the existence of some rare species of ferns, mosses and plants, which have evolved as a result of the unusual micro-climate within these piles of boulders.
