Estuaire du Trieux et Forêt Littorale de Penhoat-Lancerf

  • The weather is fine

The Penhoat-Lancerf forest covers 600 hectares and is the largest forested area on the North Brittany coast. The forest overlooks the Trieux estuary, and follows its twists and turns. There are three distinct environments here: the heights, the forested area planted in the 19th century with a variety of species (conifers and deciduous), and moorland comprising ferns and gorse. The part of the estuary on the banks of the Trieux is subject to the effects of tidal variations.
