Cathédrale Saint-Tugdual

Description

One of the most beautiful religious edifices in Brittany, in pink and grey granite (14th and 15th centuries). The Cathedral is dedicated to Saint- Tugdual, the monk who founded Tréguier in the 10th century. Different periods of construction and diverse architectural styles, three different towers, impressively high vault, tomb of Saint-Yves, effigies, 17th century pipe organs, 15th century Gothic cloister, etc. Nave classed an historic monument. *Visits all year roun June - September: 9am - 7pm. October - May: 9am - 12pm and 2pm - 6pm. Please note there are no visits during services, e.g. on Sunday mornings. *In April, May, June and September: guided tours by the sacristan, from 10am - 12pm. Donations welcome. *Guided visits in July and August.
